IGIS Asset Management, South Korea's largest real estate fund manager, announced today that it has been selected as one of two external managers for a new blind fund dedicated to port and logistics infrastructure, anchored by the Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC).

KOBC, a state-run policy finance institution supporting the maritime industry, has committed a total of KRW 200 billion (approx. USD 149 million) across the two selected managers. Combined with private capital matching, the total program is expected to reach KRW 200 billion to KRW 400 billion (approx. USD 149 million to USD 298 million) in scale.

IGIS Asset Management will establish its fund with KOBC as the anchor investor within six months. The fund will target port facilities defined under the Harbor Act, including port terminals, logistics centers in port hinterlands, and related development projects.

The initiative aims to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic port infrastructure and activate private investment in Korea's maritime logistics sector.

IGIS Asset Management has been actively expanding its footprint in maritime infrastructure. In June, the firm successfully arranged a KRW 135 billion loan fund for the Busan New Port Grain Terminal Private Investment Project.
