IGIS Asset Management announced the publication of its first Sustainability Report, showcasing its ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) performance for 2023. This report is designed to enhance transparency and communication with various stakeholders and societal members as IGIS Asset Management continues to refine its sustainability strategy.

The report was developed in alignment with the global sustainability reporting guidelines GRI Standards and has undergone third-party verification to ensure its credibility, fairness, and completeness. Starting this year, IGIS Asset Management will release an annual sustainability report that shares its goals, strategies, and performance on sustainable management.

As an asset management firm responsible for managing clients' assets, IGIS Asset Management structured the report into two significant sections: Investment Management ('Responsible Investment') and Corporate Operations ('Corporate Sustainability'). The Investment Management section outlines how ESG factors are integrated into investment decision-making and asset management. The Corporate Operations section focuses on ESG principles embedded throughout the company's management practices.

Additionally, through the Double Materiality assessment, IGIS Asset Management identified six key sustainability issues that require focused management:

3. Human Rights, Diversity & Inclusion

4. Tenant Sustainability Impact Management

5. Integrated Risk Management

6. Eco-friendly Buildings

These issues were identified through stakeholder surveys, ESG evaluation indicators, and analysis, and the company plans to disclose specific sustainability targets, strategies, and performance for each issue.

One key initiative highlighted in the report is the establishment of a GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Inventory for the company's physical assets over the past four years (2020–2023). This inventory tracks and lists greenhouse gas emissions from corporate activities. The report includes details on greenhouse gas emissions for the last two years.

In line with its commitment to eco-friendly buildings, IGIS Asset Management has made significant progress in securing global ESG certifications such as GRESB, LEED, and BREEAM. The report also highlights its fundraising efforts for social investments through ESG bonds. In 2023, IGIS Asset Management received GRESB assessments for four physical assets and added 11 new ESG-related certifications for its domestic and international assets. The IGIS Residence REITs, managed by IGIS Asset Management, became the first domestic listed REIT to issue ESG bonds.

Moreover, 2023 marked the beginning of strengthening human rights management within the company. IGIS Asset Management established human rights principles, addressing key issues and fundamental guidelines for employees, partners, and other stakeholders.

The report also covers efforts across the company's investment and operational activities to implement sustainability practices and maintain strong corporate governance alongside initiatives in environmental, human rights, compliance, and social contribution areas.
